The name “Aperture Optical Sciences Inc.” comes form the term “Aperture”, an opening through which light travels. This term has both a specific meaning for optics as well as symbolizing what we provide our customers and employees – a doorway, and opportunity to discover and realize optics technology based products and solutions.
Aperture Optical Sciences Inc.’s mission is to provide its customers with high end optical components, systems and optically driven technologies that will fuel the growth of their businesses in the US, Japan, Europe and Asia.
We were founded in 2010 as an expansion to “Flemming Tinker LLC” formed in 2005. Our principal products are Silicon Carbide optics, Aspheric mirrors and lenses, laser optics, and Optronic Systems such as beam expanders, large aperture optical mounts, and telescopes. Our customers use our optics in high energy lasers, airborne vision systems, remote sensing, optical lithography, and a variety of scientific research applications.
